Faith

(3f, 3m)On an Autumn morning in North Jersey, Luke and Anjula reach the end of a long argument.  Anjula, an atheist, is pregnant.  She suspects that Luke has been unfaithful, and wants to have an abortion.  Luke cannot reconcile her choice with the Catholic tradition handed down to him by his late father.  The couple brave the workday in New York City.  Luke receives a promotion at work.  He has to fire a close friend in order to get it.  Anjula, a college instructor, lectures to a class about the climax of a George Eliot novel.  The night is filled with bad Karaoke parties, and sex-clubs.  It takes them both to the edge of despair.  In order to reclaim peace and stability in their lives, Luke must go against the dogmas of his faith, and Anjula must find hers.
